The Friends of Chenery Park Complex, in partnership with the town, engaged interested community members throughout the Fall to create a vision for this collective space.

We have design funding and have completed the community input workshops. We are now in the construction document phase of planning with our landscape architect team, ASK+ leading that effort. Our next milestone is to present to town committees ahead of our presentation and request at Town Meeting in May.

The details of construction will be defined by the final plan and the needs of the school and community. The working concept is to do the project in consecutive phases so that there is open space for the students to use some exterior space for recess. Our expectation is that the construction will likely start in the Spring of 2026, with the intention of having the playground and sports courts complete by Fall 2026, and the work on the fields will follow immediately after. This is subject to change from the needs of the project and pending partnership with a builder.
